A Degree:
Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR A Combination of Education and
Experience:
Courses equivalent to a major, as shown above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the minimum qualification requirements listed below:
Minimum Qualification at the GS-05:
At the GS-5 level a basic undergraduate education in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines is the only requirement. No experience is required. Minimum Qualification at the GS-07:
Qualified applicants will describe in their resume at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level in federal service with monitoring visitor activity, and coordinating recreational services with community organizations, and enforcing park rules and regulations. OR Have completed one full academic year of graduate-level education with major study in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Have completed an undergraduate degree with major study in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. (Note:
You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) AND obtained Superior Academic Achievement based upon:
(1) Class Standing - You must be in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration, based on completed courses; OR (2) Grade-Point Average (G.P.A.) - You must have a grade-point average of either (a) 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 (B or better) as recorded on your official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; or (b) 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 (B+ or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum.; OR (3) Honor Society Membership - You may be considered eligible based on membership in one of the approved national scholastic honor societies listed by the Association of College Honor Societies (https:

Experience:
To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. (Note:

Qualified applicants must describe in their resume at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in federal service with natural resources management, visitor assistance, and enforcing park rules and regulations. OR Have completed a masters or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education with major study in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. Experience:
