ABOUT YOU We are looking for someone that loves to interact with gardeners and people potentially new to gardening.
As our Field Merchandiser, you will be responsible for ensuring quick and efficient delivery, set up and inventory in participating stores.
You will be on the road for 4-5 days a week and home on the weekends.
Key Responsibilities Plan and carry out daily schedules according to assigned customer locations Travel throughout the assigned territory (OR and WA), manage timelines to ensure completion of timely customer requirements, and respond to fluctuations in workload to deliver quality customer service Communicate with shipping team and Inside Sales Representatives regarding scheduling variances, product discrepancies and/or customer issues Follow store-specific receiving procedures and conduct reconciliation process Verify accuracy of load deliveries when receiving and refunding from customers Manages the visual standards of displays including but not limited to marketing, cleanliness, merchandising standards, backstock; and insures the presentation and safety of the displays, parts and signage Works collaboratively with store managers/personnel, sales team, marketing team, and other departments/staff to ensure the success of merchandising programs and plans Document and update account information, communication, activities, needs, opportunities, and successes within the sales team communications system Document work and travel details as directed by management Reports on the status of merchandising efforts in an accurate and timely manner; analyzes data and directs changes to improve success of merchandising plans Position Requirements Required to have a valid Driver's License and good driving record Must be insurable by company's current insurance company Must be able to navigate inclement weather and drive longer distances, up to 10 hours in a day Company Vehicle will be provided Required to meet deadlines and scheduled conference calls High school graduate or equivalent Two years related merchandising and/or customer service experience or equivalent Commitment to excellence and high standards Strong written and oral communication skills Strong visual merchandising skills Read and follow plan-o-grams to effectively complete fixture set, reset, and remodel work Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills Ability to self-manage priorities and workflow Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm Competent on Microsoft systems:
Excel, Word, Teams, One Note, and Outlook Competent on Smartphone technology Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines Strong interpersonal skills Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions Job Types:
